What do Leak Sandwich speakers sound like? How are they?

Using the AR-3a and Quad 57 as a point of reference(which is what I'm using now), how would one describe the sound of the original, 2-way Leak Sandwich speakers? What are the problems with this model? Any peaks or nastiness at any point in the spectrum? Are they bright, dull, life-like, harsh, smooth, warm? Any information on their sonic characteristics or general comments would be appreciated.
