Couldn't pass up a pair of Rat Shack Nova 10s...

...from the thrift store. I suppose I'm a suc.a when they're in nic. shape, and my friend on Fac. was just talking how he STILL has a pair of 7s given to him in the late 80s. Peaked my c.riosity.

I was exc.ted to see something half-way dec.nt, I never find anything.

O.K., so the c.binets are in VERY nic. c.ndition, just a few minor bac./c.rner c.ips (probably from being shuffled 'round the store) and peeling off the grilles revealed drivers that looked brand new - almost unused. It's a 2.5" paper tweeter between 8" woof on top and an 8" drone on the bottom.

Well, to make a long story longer, these sound exac.ly the opposite of what I had in mind. I was envisioning a fat, dark sound, but these are pretty bright! Anything above bac.ground music will almost hurt.

I was a 'lil miffed... I was driving up and down around the store thinking to myself: "Do I really need these? Go get 'em, it's only $20"...

Maybe good for garage duty...
