RE: DO NOT use HOTGLASS AUDIO in PA

I wouldn't single out UPS as mishandlers of delicate shipments. Fedex is as bad or perhaps worse.

I bought a pair of SET 300Bs on ebay from Houston, Texas years ago. They were double boxed; one box floating in a sea of 'pop corn' inside the other. Foam, bubble wrap, the whole smear.
The two cartons were separated before leaving Houston. One arrived in the guaranteed 7-10 business days;( Fedex Ground) the other was found weeks later in a warehouse near the airport in Toronto and only after repeated complaints.
Both amps were non-functional as internal damage was found by myself. One I repaired as I could easily locate a broken connection with a coupling cap. The other blew out the rectifier tube on power up and had to be sent to Virginia for repair and returned to me at my expense. Both ways was over $100. plus the $85.00 repair. 40 days later.
I submitted an insurance claim but was told the claim was made after 30 days so they did not honor it even though I protested that I did not have a repair bill to back my claim until the unit was returned. A bit of a Catch 22 for sure but also quite common.
I guess what I'm trying to say is you can't fight city hall.
