RE: Why do 6x9s sound so darn good?

I too owned 2 way Jensen 6 by 9s in the late 70s and also did not like as well the 3 ways.

It could be they sounded so good was because they did one thing well and didn't attempt to cover all the basses. From 60 hz. to 10 khz. they were very musical. Less IS often more.
