Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

RE: what to drive with ??

Both these Klipsch models are very efficient I believe so you could drive them with any lower powered amplifier. I find Klipsch speakers lean toward a bright sound which is not a good thing when using solid-state amps so I recommend tube gear which I generally do as I do not like the 'sound' of transistors.
I don't quite understand why you are running two different models as this invariably leads to
problems with sound-stage, imaging and other phasing issues. The 4 ohm load is nice for the amps and I'm sure the speakers play loudly but I'm also sure you reach listener fatigue very quickly.
The fact that Yamaha gear has what I call a 'snappy' sound doesn't help either. As a professional audio engineer with over 20 years in the business I am familiar with the sound of just about all the transistor gear out there and I have never liked Yamaha. Even their pianos are bright compared to Steinway etc.
If you are listening to CDs then this is a double whammy as they tend to be edgy in the top end which makes matters all the worse.
I sold my Bryston 4B (400 watts/side) and switched to 8 watts a side tube and have been very happy with my sound ever since.

Cheers,
Jon

PS I could steer you into the wonderful world of tube gear should you decide to go in that direction.
