Greetings- I stumbled onto an RCA mono console with a turntable/tonearm, radio, as well as the type 245 amplifier (PP 45, 26 input, 80 rectifier) and field coil speaker. I 've done quite a bit of searching, but still haven't come up with a schematic or restoration type website. I did learn that one of these brown cans is a multi-section cap which will need reforming at the least. I need to know if it's necessary to hook up a resistive load to the amp while slowly powering up with a variac (I assume so- but where?).Prefer not to hook up the field coil speaker during the break-in, testing period. Thanks very much for your help, regards, wpod
