Greetings- There is really nothing to dislike about the Snell EIII speakers. I bought mine new at Tweeter Etc. in 1992 I beleive, after spending about 4-6 hours auditioning just about everything else in the store.They are extremely neutral sounding, they don't exaggerate anything but don't sound "sterile" either. The amazing thing is that they do all that using some fairly inexpensive Vifa drivers, however the crossover networks are matched to very close tolerances, again , using fairly inexpensive components.Unless they have already been done, you will probaly have to replace the foam surrounds by now, I did mine a few years ago. Peter Qvortrup of AudioNote UK has called them his favorite speakers and most of the new AudioNote speakers are based on the Snell E III (if I remember correctly). You will thoroughly enjoy them.
