Re: PING Wpod!!

Michael- I just got a pair this week (not tested) that I want to get back up and running correctly, and being totally unfamiliar with the layout, was hoping to see an illustration or drawing of component placement. I have spotted a few things in one unit that aren't in the other, so I'm trying to figure out which one is correct. Marantzguy has very generously offered to make a copy of an owner's manual that he has, so hopefuly it will contain a drawing or two (like the Dynaco manuals)for reference. Thanks for your generous offer, I may want to see an interior shot (photo) in the event there are no diagrams in the manual. As I received these with no tubes, would you suggest that I stick with a stock 5R4 rectifier or something else? Also what about new prodution output tubes, are there any decent KT-66 out there these days or should I try a different output tube? Also, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be an on/off switch, were these supposed to be unplugged to shut them off or am I missing something? Are there any other idiosyncrasies that I should be made aware of? Thanks very much, wpod
