Hi, what exactly is generating the hum? Is it coming from the PS trannie? If that's the case, there are a couple of things you could try. 1. Isolate the trannie from the chassis with some rubber washers. 2. The hum could be the result of DC on the incoming AC. An isolation transformer might help. I have an Equitech isolation transformer and they claim on their web site that they had to redesign their transformers because the currently available AC can have enough waveform distortion to cause their older transformers to buzz loadly and customers were complaining.
