I have a cabinet design sheet from 1964 written by G. A. Briggs himself which includes the latest models with the RS suspension.
The optimum load for any version (CS,FS,RS) of the W15 woofer is a 9 cu. ft. reflex design. This was the internal volume of his famous 3 way corner system. You don't have to use a corner design; a conventional rectangular shape will do. The port size specified is 60 sq. in.With the W15 RS design only, you can go down to 5 cu. ft. with a slotted back arrangement instead of a port. 12 slots each 12" x 1/4" are cut into the 3/4" back panel with 1-1/2" spacing. If slots are not convenient you can drill 15-1/2" holes in place of EACH slot. He also suggests covering the entire inside back with an open weave cloth.(cloth is glued down)
I know the W15 is capable of fabulous bass. it has a .750" long VC in a .375" gap with a 15 lb. magnet structure. In G. A.Briggs book "Loudspeakers" he shows a waveform at 35 cps with 15 watts input which looks perfect. He also had a design for use with church organs which used 2 W15's in a 15 cu. ft. slot loaded enclosure.
