Update: Speaker surrounds have come unglued!

To all: thanks for your input. My scam sensor went off and that's one of the reasons I asked for pics (I haven't received a response yet). The speakers have steel baskets and the buyer told me that the surrounds had come loose from them and not the cones. He said the bass is distorted, which would be consistent with detached surrounds. I had the speakers for a few years and had no problems with them. I decided to sell them because I didn't care much for their sound - but they didn't rattle or buzz! I live in a dry climate and the previous owner also lives here, so I don't think it's a moisture problem. The speakers are about 25 years old, but so are some of my other speakers. Still, I guess it's possible that the surrounds could have come unglued. The buyer hasn't asked for anything (yet), nor have I offered anything. Thankfully, it sounds like it should be an easy fix. As is true for most of us, I don't want the be the perpetrator or the recipient of a bad deal.

p.s. Nice h/k site, M Jarve!
