Re: What the? Speaker surrounds have come unglued!

I had a similar thing with JBLs in their small 1980's pro monitor, the spider had come completely unstuck. Aluminium basket, corrosion, glue let go, and the cone held in only by the voicecoil - I suspect they'd been hiding in a damp basement. I had to re-foam at the same time, so used shims and surround glue with the dustcap disected out, and they are still going strong (and are a very nice monitor indeed- not bad for $5 at GW).
