Someone pulled this crap with me, when I sold my Scott amp (on eBay). The buyer was less than 30 miles away, so I offered to bring it to him. He declined. I then made a wood crate for the amp. Shipped the tubes separately. The buyer got the amp, then claimed that it didn't work properly, even though the tubes tested as working, on his tube tester.He offered to split whatever charges his mechanic will charge, for a repair. When I told him that I will pick it up, bring it to my engineer, and return it fully repaired, he magically backed off. Never heard from him again.
