I'm aware of the limitations of the setup, and they still sound very good. The tweeter isn't firing into the floor any more than my Dyna A-25s, and they don't sound phenomenally better when placed on 12-inch stands. This suggests that they aren't fussy about placement, although AR gave plenty of guidance in that department. A virtue in a speaker, IMHO.
