Re: Beauty contest

No beautiful CD players?

Well up till very recently, Teac made a beautiful unit with a real brushed aluminum faceplate and all that. It was very nice. Cost $199 which I guess was too much for people to pay for a mainstream teac single disc cd player.

I woulda bought it for $150 Though. They still make a 3 cd changer and also DVD player thats also made out of real metal but its gold colored and smaller in width than a standard model to match the other components (all kinda vintage looking actually) in this model line. I think its called the Reference Series. The old cd player was part of the "Legacy Series". Does anybody have experience with these? My guess is they don't sell too well cause they are priced in the mid hundreds and are just two channel stereo at about 45 wpc. But they look amazingly built for these days.
