I'd pick a value of .01 to .1 uf for caps less than 10 uf or so. Any higher and I'd go for something in the range of .47 to .68 uf. Simply parallel this cap with the main one. Keep in mind the effect is very subtle and will not be a "jump out at you and see me" kind of thing. You should notice an overall less harsh and grainy sound in the upper mids and treble, especially with Solens. It will also depend on the over all resolving ability of the rest of your system whether this tweak will be audible.
The very inexpensive Dayton film and foils are actually very good for this purpose so large sums of $$$ are not needed to try this.
