Vintage gear and pro-speakers: an alternative?

I see may posts about using vintage loudspeakers with older, high-efficiency Altec Lansings and Klispch and sometime wonder. Around my area, loudspeakers like the older horn-loaded Altec and Klispsch are hard to find at all, let alone any price. Because of the dearth of vintage high-end loudspeakers in my area I have turned to some pro-sound reenforcement stuff, like the Peavey 1210H and JBL SR-4732A to fill the gap on the high-efficiency side.

Does anyone else use pro-speakers in their hi-fi set up? I personally have found no drawbacks to doing so, aside perhaps, from the fact that I'm powering a 1200-watt pair of speakers with a 25-WPC receiver (and thus horribly under utilizing them). I still have my consumer standbys of Wharfedale Diamond 7.2 and Wharfedale E-90, but I actually think I like the sound of the pro-stuff more.
