Re: Wharfedale W60 or Dynaco A35

Both the Wharfedale and Dynaco are fine speakers that differ markedly in sound character. This is not so much a matter of what others think is the best, but which you like the best. Take your receiver over to your uncles house and listen to them. Choose the ones you like the most.

Most would agree that the Dynaco has a more refined, modern, audiophile sound quality. The Dynacos thrive on lots of clean solid state power. Your Pioneer receiver will be adequate for moderate sound levels in average size rooms, but not for high levels unless you have a high clipping tolerance. The Wharfedale is an older design. The sound is a little more colored and not as smooth, but it is more dynamic. The Wharfedale is also around 6 db more sensitive than the Dynaco.

Let us know what you decide.

Bob
