If they are anything like the Wharfedale I had, you don't get used to that. There just was not enough bass, good or bad. I tried a tuned enclosure, but the state of the art of enclosure design in those days was really primitive. It finally went into an E-V Aristocrat corner horn kit and that was really quite good. Wharfedale's woofers had large magnets, but less flux density than the full range models, and they did much better without resorting to corner placement.
