I have a pair of model 70's and they had the same kind of connection in the back. The 12/65 on the driver you mention would be dec 1965.
Mine are from oct 1963. Regarding the connections, what I did was buy a new set of spring loaded binding posts (radio shack) and put those in. They have different sizes and probly one that fits yours. I like the way mine sound with low power. As advised earlier, don't go above 25 watts.
