Re: a suitable middy shouldnt be that tough to find

It's kind of facinating (Spocko) what they did in there. The pots were noisy? Maybe? So they tossed them and stuffed the holes with Plastic Wood. The ceiling speakers got turned into mids by sealing the backs with plastic reinforced packing tape. I kid you not. If I get ambitious, I'll hunt down some bowls at a dollar store and do chambers with Acousta Stuff. The only thing that looks close would be the 5" sealed Pioneer mid or an Eminence Alpha driver, but I'll bet that's worse than the vintage. And I do own a pair of real closed back 8" Jenesen mids, I'll use them as bookends, they sound that bad, too wierd to toss......I wonder if our friend is looking at an open back mid with a really small ALNICO magnet, I hope he does a pic or two. Oh, mine have Calrad horns, the leads were broken, they are sweet for old horns.
