The cabinets came in several styles as was common with many manufactures of that time. One model (I had these) has a lattice work edging around the front edge of the cabinet and ended at the grill. Closely looking at mine showed where the edging had been tacked on and then the holes filled. A catalog of the time showed the cabinet with and without the lattice.
