Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I think I have a pair of Wharfedale W 60E in

storage. I played them in my shop and I thought they sounded pretty darn good. I refoamed the woofer surrounds; the bass is good. In my opinion, the cone mids and dome tweeter sound very nice and seem very well made. My speakers had a brownish grille cloth masonite board with brass strips all along the perimeter of the grille. It also had a walnut divider strip across the grille horizontally. (purely for aesthetics, I'm reasoning. I gonna keep them; I got the pair for $5.00 at a church garage sale. Love those church garage sale. Just last week, I found a very nice pair of Phase Technology speakers with oak cabinets for $10.00
