Re: Vintage Wharfedale Experts out There?? Need Help!

I agree with Gerry, these do *NOT* sound like any Wharfedales I ever saw (except for the heavy cabinet part), and I was a big fan during the mid-60s. The RCA connectors are extremely suspect, unless someone added them (doubtful) as are the ports. The bigger Wharedales I remember - like most Brit speakers of the day - were infinite-baffle, and it would have been pretty difficult to remove the back.

This is not to say that a no-name or house brand speakers using Wharfedale parts couldn't sound good - just that it's not a Wharfedale per se. Sounds like a typical Hong Kong ploy.
