Mine have a plain screw terminal strip, which require spade lugs. Even if your speakers accept bananas, spades give you a better connection and that’s what I would recommend.I don’t think it’s going to be easy to get the fabric off. I have some Utah 12" full-range drivers in a home made (but very good quality) box that needs the fabric replaced. I haven't figured it out yet. The backs come off my 90's. Maybe you can access it from there.
