Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Re: Wharfedale w90 speakers

I have a pair and they are extremely well built and have a very natural tone. Works with transistor gear but at their best with tubes. Don't throw a lot of power at them. They don't need it and the woofer will blow if you drive them to hard. Replacement drivers are virtually unobtainable. They are very efficient and easy to drive. They're not for the threshold of pain school of stereo reproduction but they will do a symphony in its full glory. You won't get pinpoint imaging and you wont be able to tell if a fly lands on the 3rd violinist, but things will sound very natural and right.
