I have W60's and W90's. For listening throght tube grear, they are hard to beat! Those sand-filled baffels are also amazing. Try putting a steescope on an MDF speker playing and then do the same thing with you Wafdale. The MDF speaker cabinet will be singing along in a dull disotorted drone, the Warfdale will be silent.
The W70 is of particular not since the midrage driver is proported to be one of the best. (I have not heard it myself.) In my opinion, you did not overpay! Enjoy!
