Help Appraising Old Wharfedale Drivers....

I pulled these drivers out of some home-made cabinets at a local thrift place (couldn't take the cabs as there was no way to on my bike!), both look to be in original, very good shape.

Model # RS/12/DD.

I figure these belonged to someone who went from mono to stereo, as each driver is designed somewhat differently, and the date codes on them are a year apart, one from '64 and one from '65.

They are 12" full-range drivers that have the 'whizzer cone' centers, and have green felt around the face of the basket, while the magnets are bare (not covered) and painted yellow.
I am trying to figure out whether my best bet would be to hold onto these and turn them into my own project, or to turn them over to a friend who collects older drivers and designs speakers, but who won't offer me much for them as they will 'just be another project taking up space in the basement'. Or, as a third option (this is where the question comes in), if they are scarce or collectable, I could try reselling them to a collector, but I have no idea of their rarity or desireability. Do any of you folks know these to be anything particularly special or hard to find?
My speaker-making friend has a single driver which is a
SUPER RS/12/DD, and according to him that would be the more desireable model, which seems to make sense. However, a search on the 'net has turned up no useful info on either model.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!
