RE: MDT-20

Check your crossover design. Many are reversed polarity and will cause that same effect or a dampened like sound. Or you needed a zobel to curb the impedance. Sometimes a simple 10-30ohm resistor is all you need across the terminals.

The 20 is a fine sounding tweeter and EXTREMELY versitile, can handle tons of power (both good and bad if you know what I mean), easy to crossover, takes high order crossovers well and is cheap. Speaker maniacs hate cheap - it's an ego thing.
