RE: Can anyone ID this Wharfedale speaker?

Hi, Phil. I hope you're feeling better. A couple of years ago, I came across a pair of empty enclosures at an estate sale. Other than their oiled walnut finish, they looked identical to the one in your picture. The slanted fronts were cut out for an 8" woofer, a midrange and a tweeter. The story I got from the home owner was that they had belonged to his father, who had acquired them from a company that supplied cabinets to Wharfedale. All of the '50s and '60s Wharfedale systems with which I am acquainted used either 12" or 15" woofers, which would support my sense that they were of '70s or '80s vintage.
