These are just the run of the mill W60D which is not bad. I had a set of the larger W70Ds for some years nad later my brother used them with a Marantz 19 us between us we put some 15 years or so on them.

About a year ago, I picked up the earlier W70 and did a cap changeout since the caps were between bad and totally ot of spec. After about 100 hours burn-in they permanently pushed out my Advents and Klipsch from consideration as permanent speakes for a #2 or #3 system.

With the right front end they are great; detail near the Heresy without the sizzle and loss of homogenous emotion the Klipsch exhibit. Bass seems thin but on close listening, it is there in near perfect balance and depth in an orchestra, no up front in your face false 1 note thumper bass. Mids are really great and compete with the midrange of the Bozaks that are considered by some to be the standard in midrange.

While not head to head with my Symphonys they go head to head with my 302s and as much as I love my 302s, I'm still not sure which I like better so they Wharfedales are flying in some good company. Like the 302, the deficiency exhibited in when comparing to the Symphony is really the result of going up against a really big box with 2 12" woofers and 8 tweeters rather than limitations in sonic quality.

I have no experience with the W60D but based on my experiences with the W70D I'd wager the W60Ds ain't no dogs.

Tee is a caveat on the pair on eBay. The tweeters don't look like the fried egg tweeters from the WxxD series but possibly aftermarket soft dome replacements. Wharfedales are not designed for super powered amps having been engineered for low powered amps. The tweeters were prone to meltdown if too much power was applied.
