As far as which ones to get, Scotts are good, and Fishers too, but the ones most people here seem to like (according to the posts) are Sherwoods. I have owned Scotts and a Fisher but the ones I have kept are a Sherwood S-3000 (mono fm only) and a S-2000IV (AM and Mono FM). They just have a nice warm yet dynamic sound. And I don't miss the stereo.
