I am very familar with active bi-amping, via an electronic crossover, but it appears that passive bi-amping, the kind that you describe above, has recently been getting some attention too. A couple of questions:
1. Do you think that passive bi-amping can be a good TEMPORARY low cost alternative until funds permit a good electronic crossover?
2. Is it possible that passive bi-amping can actually outperform active bi-amping in certain situations?
3. Are the filters needed for passive biamping available commercially or is this strictly a DIY thing?
Thanks.
