Sounds like there is a switch to enable the -81 to feed 1 channel and the external amp to feed the other. I might br mis-interperting this though. I was looking to see if you could just use the -81 as a preamp. Then for sh#ts' and grins, you could hook one MKIII per speaker in monoblock fashion. That might be the improvment your looking for(and cheaper to do)........for now, that is....8^)
