The Eico ST40 is one of the best sounding integrated amps outside of the Sherwood I've ever heard..This is when properly upgraded.Don't let the smaller iron fool you..That amp has a lot to offer and if you upgrade it properly,I guarantee you that you will love that amp.Eico and Sherwood have really produced some sonic marvels when it came to integrated amps..Eico also builds fine power amps but that ST40 will rival lots of expensive gear when properly rebuilt.
The AR-15 was my dream receiver as a kid that I could only lust for..It then became the AR-1500 but that is a very nice SS receiver and yes,I would restore it as well.
