....have a tube mono system that I use in my bedroom with a KLH model 18 FM tuner....it's a nice change from stereo especially if you listen while doing other stuff (like surfing the web)....even thinking of getting a dedicated mono turntable for it.....if you can pick up the Fisher cheaply, get it and try updating it as a learning experience. If you change your mind you can always sell it....
