Re: Wrong pot taper?

The HF-81 circut shows the Treble pot to have a tap @ 250K (and that tap is not indicted at mid-rotation) & besides virtually ALL Baxandall-type tone control stacks use Audio or Log taper pots with 10% of value @ mid-rotation. The HF-81 tone circut sure appears to be a Baxandall to me. Your present pot should have an A marking (as well as 500K) to indicate audio taper. I doubt you will discover one (tapped concentric with switch) except in another donar unit.
