SE is perceived many ways.This is one of very finest integrated amps ever made.Possibly a 300b amp may outperform it,but not in exponential numbers.This amp has a separate rectifier for each channel.It even uses a full 12ax7 for each channel in the phono stage.I have modded mine with pio caps and black gates in the power supply.The amp section alone without using the preamp section would come very close to a SE amp.Why? It has a very nice long tail phase splitter giving the amp SE like qualities.You wont be dissappointed.
