Eico HF-81 (Soundstage & Imaging)

I'm getting ready to take the plunge into Vintage Audio with the purchase of an Eico HF-81, but need a little more insight into the sonics before sealing a deal.

Posters often comment on this unit's SET-like qualities, rich and full bodied mids, open and extended highs, musical character, well controled bass (for an EL-84 amp)..... but terms like "3-dimensional soundstage" or "pinpoint imaging" don't usually appear in these discriptions.

I have an affinity for amps which project large and deep soundstages with strong and stable imaging ... will I be disappointed by the Eico HF-81?
