Unless you listen at very loud volume I wouldn't worry. I'm not familiar with the naim (is that a SS amp or tube?) but if it has similar power the Eico should work fine. And don't worry about nonexistant bass - I have several EL84 amps and I think bass is one of their strong points. I just rebuilt an HF-81 and I've been very impressed. Now I want to rebuild a couple of my other favorite EL84 amps to see how they compare. The Eico may have an edge now but it's probably not a fair comparison since the others haven't been touched. . . . Charlie
