If you are playing at low listening levels it should be OK. But if are one to crank it up or like it loud, not happening with the 84's. Some of the good 84's don't actually clip but just don't get any louder, like my Scott 299b. And my speakers were 87db efficiency at the time.
But it would benifit from higher efficiency speakers. Like 92-95, but do you want to reinvent your entire setup again?
