Re: Oddly enough, a reccomendation of something NOT to get...

The 110 must be the baby 2 way. As the numbers get bigger in the TitaniumSolidWood (named for the wood planks top and bottom, as well as the tweeters) series you move into the 3-ways, with poly mids and woofers. I have the 510, with 10" woofer, 5" mid, and the same tweeter. The bigger ones are better at bass notes - by the time you get to the largest of the series there are two 12" woofers - but polyprop is not the best thing for big woofers, I'm told. The mids are there all right, but not present, if you get my meaning. I agree about the tweeters - all used the same one except for the largest of the series, which had a bigger one of the same ilk. Not even that heavy felt blanket around them is enough. But my gripe about the tweeter's presentation in the 510 is not so much harshness and stridency but more general hissiness and lack of image - I find it hard to tell exactly where those artificial-sounding cymbals are coming from, so I use them for HT, not for getting a stereo fix. Give me a nice vintage horn tweeter any day for that.....
