Best Party-on Dude Speaker and system?

The scene: a 30 x 40 ft Basement rec room, painted concrete cinder block walls, Asphalt tile floor (do they still make that?) One of those cheesy hanging ceilings...a couple 2 x 4 ft flourescent light boxes too. Teen-age kids. Got the picture?

OK Here's the question. What would be your vote for all-time favorite Party-on Dude system for a room like this? Gotta be cheap enough so that if it did blow it wouldn't be a major financial loss. Lots of volume? of course! Strong Thumping bass? A must! And anything down there must survive variation in moisture, humidity, and overaggressive use of the volume and bass controls.

[I don't actually have a room like this since I don't have a basement but I think it would be fun to outfit one--wait, come to think of it, I do--my sun room is 25 x 30, has brick walls and a glazed brick floor plus a 12 ft high wood ceiling, And its not permanently heated or cooled. A hot tub adds humidity. I think this environment would be deadly to most vintage gear. And it is used for parties. It doesnt normally get cold enough to freeze out there. Can normal gear survive in humidity and temperature extremes from 35-100 degrees?) Any thoughts?

David
