they were ratshack woofs? the original equip was kef for that driver, celestion for the tweeter (hf1400 i think, and a celstion hf 2000 tweeter. i could be wrong but fried used mostly kef and celestion drivers.
the hf1400 is a round affair with a cone shaped plastic disc over the middle of the driver with slotted holes surrounding it. this driver has tremendous dynamic range and depth/imaging capability.
