RE: The $200 Challenge

-Hey,when you've only got $200 or so to spend...you gotta SLUM IT!

Don't I know it! That is the story of my system!

I did look up the MP-301. The parts quality is extremely surprising for the price. I don't think I could DIY it for that little. I will keep it in mind if I want to try SE.

PS: You were right about Spendor BC-1 speakers. I scrounged up a pair cheap and have had them for a couple of years. They are the closest thing to an electrostatic speaker that I have heard with dynamic drivers, with none of the disadvantages. I certainly haven't heard everything, but they may very well be one of the best dynamic speaker out there.
