If you have room in a small dorm, Dynaco A25 speakers are available for $100 per pair + shipping. If little room for the A25 speakers, Infinity CS50 speakers sound good and are about $50 per pair + shipping. The CS50 does not go as low in bass as the Dynaco, but are quite reasonable.
Marantz 2216 or 2225 (more sensitive tuner section in 2225) for $75 to $100 + shipping. These smaller Marantz receivers are excellent sounding and rival vintage factory stock PP tube amps IMO.
A twin lead 300 ohm dipole FM antenna is available for about $10 plus a few dollars shipping.
If you also want CD capacity, vintage Magnavox are very good performers and rival high-end CD players. Look for model CD482 or CD492. Careful shopping can be had for $50 shipped to your address. A search on AA vintage has some other Magnavox models mentioned using same chip set.
