Every year we have a BBQ/pot luck and dance with a live band at a private campground, for about 150 people. This year for some reason it was announced there was to be no band. I offered some equipment to provide a live old fashioned DJ (3 DJ's over 6 hours) night. I have been curious to see how my recently refoamed Cerwin Vega 217r's would sound with some volume...
What a blast! I powered the speakers with my newly acquired sansui 7700 amp. and the sound was spectacular...no distortion at some pretty high volume levels. we ran CD's and mp3 and 4's, and I used my sony STR 7065 with a mic input for the PA / DJ talk.We started with jazz for dinner music, lots of rock and roll, and a teens playlist I couldn't quite describe, resulting in dancing 'til midnite!.
