even bi-Amping with an active crossover wouldn't be a challenging option
I have had success using an EV Crossover pair ( one for each channel, 2nd hand, about $50 each )

This gives you control over the crossover and roll-off points, and volume going to each individual speaker, without being an obtrusive component

With Digital being King right now, active analog crossovers can be great buying Used
