It's funny how my scale of "$$$$$$$" has changed after getting into vintage this year. I think of my $330 Sansui 9090db as "expensive" because I didn't buy it at a thrift for $10 or from a lucky craigslist find. But that's less than my cheapie Yamaha home theater receiver cost, and we all know how the modern yamaha stacks up to the 9090.
