Got bit by that upgrade bug a few months back, too! Video-wise, went from a 25" screen to a 34" Phillips, which has waaay more digitally-available video options! Through deft manipulation, it now emulates a classic RCA colour set! Speakers are recently hemp-reconed Celestion Vintage 30s(San Rafael's Brown Soun is a little over an hour's drive away)! Hemp cones articulate that alnico alchemy Celestion's engineers originally designed into their V30s(Celestion Blues on 'roids)by enhancing both bass-n-treble response to tame that robust midrange presence(imagine your Utahs sounding slightly darker-n-warmer, David)! Kinda like a mellower-voiced EV, though still capable of that legendary Celestion clout when needed! Amplification courtesy of a Sansui 9090(non-DB version)! Am now discovering the joys of massive amplifier reserve power! Marantz Guy sez Sansui's 9090s are closest, sound-wise, to Mac gear! Rear channels are now powered by that Marantz MR-235! That Sansui/Marantz combo creates a tonally-tight front-to-back aural blend! Whatever direction you go, speaker-wise, DavidLD, you owe it to yerself to add British import "Nine Songs" to your dvd collection! Margot Stilley alone is worth that proverbial price of admission!!!
